Everything you need to know before your first session
A sound circle is a group sound meditation experience combining participatory voice based sound meditation with gentle movement, breathwork, yin postures and yoga nidra (a guided rest meditation). Sessions run for approximately two hours and are held at various locations in the leafy eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
Not at all. Both the sound circles and gentle yoga classes are designed for all levels, including complete beginners. There's no flexibility or fitness requirement - you just need to be open to the experience.
Comfortable, warm clothing. Your body temperature can drop during deep relaxation, so layers are recommended. Activewear is fine but not necessary - whatever you feel relaxed in.
Please bring a yoga mat. If you'd like an eye pillow or a blanket for the yoga nidra, please bring one, though this is optional. Bolsters are provided at the studio.
The sound circles are about gently exploring your inner landscape through voice and vibration. The experience is deeply restful and grounding.
Sound Circles: Sound circles are held in carefully chosen spaces across Melbourne's eastern suburbs, with exact venue details shared when bookings open.
Gentle Yoga: Erin's home studio in Blackburn (address provided on booking)
